Classes organized around your dancer

Our recreational program is organized primarily by school grade so dancers can learn alongside peers at similar developmental stages. Pink is designed for dancers ages 3–4 who are not yet in kindergarten.

Each class blends technical dance education with the creativity, confidence, and community that make children excited to come back each week. No prior dance experience is required unless a class specifically says otherwise.

Preschool Dance

Ages 3–4

A playful, encouraging first step into the dance studio for children who are not yet in kindergarten.

Pink Ages 3–4 • Ballet, Tap & Jazz

A joyful first dance experience

Pink is the perfect introduction to dance for preschool-aged dancers. Through music, imaginative play, engaging props, and age-appropriate instruction, dancers build confidence while developing coordination, balance, rhythm, flexibility, classroom skills, and foundational dance technique.

Our teachers understand that every first day looks a little different. Whether your dancer is ready to jump right in or needs gentle encouragement, we create a warm environment where children can settle in and feel successful.

Thornton: Thursday • 4:30–5:15 PM

Parents and loved ones are welcome to watch the first class. After that, we ask families to wait outside, relax in the car, or run a quick errand so dancers can build independence and stay focused.

Beginning Foundations

Kindergarten–1st Grade

Two fun options let dancers explore the styles they enjoy most—or take both for an especially well-rounded season.

Choose Green for: Ballet and tap foundations, graceful movement, rhythm, and a traditional mix of dance styles.

Choose Yellow for: Upbeat music, high-energy choreography, pom, hip hop, and performance-focused fun.

Green Kindergarten–1st Grade • Ballet, Tap & Jazz

Strong foundations with plenty of fun

Green dancers build strong foundations in ballet, tap, and jazz through engaging movement, imaginative exercises, and age-appropriate instruction. The class remains playful and encouraging while dancers begin learning more dance vocabulary, musicality, coordination, strength, and increasingly detailed choreography.

It is a wonderful choice for dancers who enjoy trying a little bit of everything while growing in confidence and independence.

Yellow Kindergarten–1st Grade • Jazz, Pom & Hip Hop

Upbeat, energetic, and confidence-building

Yellow is perfect for dancers who love upbeat music, exciting choreography, and lots of energy. Dancers explore jazz, pom, and beginning hip hop while building coordination, musicality, teamwork, confidence, and performance skills.

The class is lively and fun while still giving dancers a strong foundation in timing, body awareness, clean movement, and age-appropriate technique.

Green and Yellow focus on different styles and complement one another beautifully. Dancers who love being in the studio are welcome to take both.

2nd–4th Grade

As dancers grow, they can begin choosing the styles they love most. Families may select one class or combine several classes to create a well-rounded dance education.

Purple 2nd–4th Grade • Ballet & Tap

Two classic styles and a strong technical base

Purple is a wonderful choice for dancers who enjoy building technique while still having plenty of fun. Ballet develops strength, flexibility, balance, control, and grace, while tap strengthens rhythm, musicality, coordination, and timing.

Together, these two styles provide an excellent technical foundation that supports every other form of dance.

Pom/Hip Hop 1 2nd–4th Grade • Pom & Hip Hop

Confidence, precision, teamwork, and performance

Pom/Hip Hop 1 is full of upbeat music and high-energy choreography. Dancers build coordination, musicality, strength, stage presence, and confidence while learning two exciting styles.

Pom emphasizes sharp, synchronized movement and teamwork. Hip hop introduces grounded movement, rhythm, texture, and performance quality in an encouraging, age-appropriate setting.

The $140 costume package includes the recital costume and poms. One versatile package is used to create two distinct stage looks without requiring families to purchase two full costumes.

Jazz/Lyrical 1 2nd–4th Grade • Jazz & Lyrical

Energy, technique, artistry, and storytelling

Jazz/Lyrical 1 combines the excitement of jazz with the emotion and storytelling of lyrical dance. Dancers develop flexibility, musicality, turns, leaps, clean lines, and performance quality while learning how movement can communicate a feeling or idea.

It is an excellent choice for dancers who love expressive movement but also want the energy and technical challenge of jazz.

One versatile costume package creates a different look for each routine, allowing dancers to perform two styles without requiring two full costume purchases.

Keep Growing

5th Grade & Up

These classes allow older recreational dancers to continue growing technically while exploring the styles they enjoy most. They are a great fit for dancers preparing for school dance teams, dancing purely for fun, or simply looking for a supportive place to keep learning.

Ballet/Lyrical 2 5th Grade & Up • Ballet & Lyrical

Technique meets artistry

Ballet provides the technical foundation, while lyrical encourages artistry, musical interpretation, and emotional expression. Together, the styles help dancers develop strength, flexibility, alignment, grace, control, and performance quality.

Dancers work on increasingly detailed choreography while learning to move with intention and tell a story on stage.

Pom/Hip Hop 2 5th Grade & Up • Pom & Hip Hop

High-energy training with school-team crossover

Pom/Hip Hop 2 develops confidence, precision, stamina, musicality, teamwork, and stage presence through two energetic performance styles. Dancers work on sharp pom technique, clean formations, grounded hip hop movement, rhythm, and dynamic choreography.

This class is excellent preparation for dancers interested in middle or high school dance teams, while remaining a fun and welcoming option for recreational dancers who simply love to perform.

Jazz/Tap 2 5th Grade & Up • Jazz & Tap

Performance quality and musical precision

Jazz develops flexibility, turns, leaps, coordination, style, and performance quality. Tap challenges dancers to create music with their feet through increasingly detailed rhythms, timing, and footwork.

Together, these styles create an upbeat, technically rich class for dancers who enjoy both expressive movement and musical challenge.

One versatile costume package is styled differently for each dance, giving performers two distinct recital looks through one combined fee.

Focused Skill-Building

These focused classes help dancers deepen a particular skill set and pair beautifully with the recreational classes above.

Tap 1 3rd–6th Grade • Focused Tap Technique

More time for rhythm, musicality, and footwork

Tap 1 is designed for dancers ready to delve more deeply into tap technique. Its focused, 30-minute format gives dancers concentrated time to develop clarity of sound, rhythm, timing, musicality, coordination, and increasingly challenging footwork.

It works well as a stand-alone tap class or as additional training for dancers already enrolled in another recreational class.

Tumbling Approximately 3rd–7th Grade • Beginner–Intermediate

Strength, flexibility, control, and safe skill progression

Tumbling helps dancers build strength, flexibility, balance, coordination, body awareness, and confidence while safely progressing through foundational acrobatic and tumbling skills.

Skills are taught in progressions so dancers can work at an appropriate level and advance with strong technique. The class is generally designed for dancers in 3rd–7th grade, though placement may vary based on experience and current skill level.

Tumbling is a technique-only class and does not perform in the recital.

Adult Classes

Whether you danced growing up or are stepping into the studio for the first time, our adult classes offer movement, challenge, community, and a joyful hour that belongs entirely to you.

Adult Tap Beginner & Intermediate Levels

Make music with your feet

Adult Tap is a fun, encouraging way to stay active, challenge your brain, and enjoy time with a welcoming dance community. Classes focus on rhythm, technique, musicality, coordination, balance, memory, and having a great time.

Beginner Tap welcomes brand-new dancers and returning dancers who would like a supportive refresher. Intermediate Tap moves at a quicker pace and explores more detailed rhythms and combinations.

Adult Heels Adults • Heels Technique & Choreography

Confidence, musicality, and expressive movement

Adult Heels is a supportive space to explore confidence, posture, musicality, performance quality, and expressive choreography. Class includes technique and combinations designed to help dancers feel grounded, strong, and comfortable in their movement.

Dancers may participate at their own comfort level, and modifications are always welcome.
